Product Description
The 7-4000-2 is a 5" x 5" Wire Gauze with ceramic fiber centers for thermal protection. Excellent for high-temperature applications.
The gauze is made of woven iron wire with turned edges, which prevents fraying.
Like clay triangles are used with crucibles, wire gauze is often used with bunsen burners to aid in the distribution of heat from the flame. No asbestos.
The ceramic center helps further keep the heat concentration from directly coming in contact with the container being used.
