The 41863 Fischertechnik ROBO Starter Set is a complete beginner package for the introduction of robotics and programming. Includes the ROBO I/O Extension (93294) and ROBO Pro Software (93296) and Power Supply (30173). Requires Power Supply 30173 (Included) or Accu Set 57487 (Not Included). 

 

The complete beginner package: 150 components for eight simple-to-build models such as a traffic light, barrier, heating control or hand dryer. For computer control the ROBO I/O- Extension runs with a USB interface to the PC. Also included is Robo Pro Software and detailed programming guide which explains the graphical and easy to learn format.

Includes a 9V Mini Motor with gear unit, 3 Sensors and one of these can be used as an impluse counter, 1 phototransistor, 1 NTC resistor for temperature measurement, 3 indicator lights.

The included ROBO I/O Extension offers four 9V/250ma motor control outputs with variable speed control, 8 digital inputs, 1 analog input for resistances from 0-5kOhms. USB interface for online operation directly on the PC.

Included ROBO Pro Software is a graphical programmer's application for Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, and XP. Easy for beginners to use, thanks to a proven flowchart programming utility consisting of various software modules.

Data can be interchanged between software modules and subroutines using not only variables but also graphical connections. Program operation is easy to understand. Subroutines are stored in a library and and can be used without having to understand the internal workings in the subroutine. Beginners will find it easy to grasp even complex programs.

The graphic programming language ROBO Pro provides all the key elements of a modern programming language, such as arrays, functions, recursions, objects, asynchronous events and quasiparallel processing, making it a useful tool even for professional programmers. Programs are translated directly into machine language for efficient execution of even the most complex programs. Even advanced programmers will find that ROBO Pro knows no limits. With ROBO Pro, it's easy to write teach-in programs or exchange data with other Windows software.
