The BASIC Stamp 1 Starter Kit includes a special BS1 Serial Adapter that allows you to program in the Windows environment. We're sure that you will find many opportunities to implement a BS1-IC. Its 8 I/O pins make it ideal for your more strightforward designs which don't demand a BS2-level microcontroller. Due to the small size (1.4"x.6"x.1") it's also perfect for fitting in tight applications.
BS1 Serial Adapter Makes it Easy
Upon receiving the kit, simply connect the BS1 Adapter, and connect the serial cable to the DB-9 port on the Super Carrier Board which is also included in the kit.
