“GreenTRF” is heat transferred the same way the toner was transferred to the copper surface. Both of these foils will only stick to toner. “GreenTRF” stops the etchant from getting “into” the somewhat porous toner which would result in pitted traces. Additionally, because the toner is now encapsulated by the film, you can now use our new “Contact Etch” technique for etching a board without any tank! (see “Tips & Tricks”)

 

“WhiteTRF” is for adding a “silkscreen” layer to your board. After the board is completed, apply your silkscreen artwork the same way as the layout was. You can transfer toner right to bare fiberblass, then cover with WhiteTRF, heat and peel off the same way as GreenTRF was done.
