| Parallax has designed a new USB to Serial (RS-232) adapter that is compact and economical. This adapter works with all of our products. If you don't have a serial port on your machine, this is an easy solution. To use this adapter simply download the driver installer from our website, run the installer and then plug the unit in to your machine's USB port using the USB A to mini B cable (included). A new Virtual COM Port will be available to your BASIC Stamp Editor, SX-Key Editor or Propeller Tool for programming and communication.
Parallax designed it using the latest FTDI chip (FT232RL). This adapter supports multiple operating systems. FTDI provides fully functional drivers, maintaining and improving them as operating systems change (such as Windows).
Includes Type A to Mini B. Cable length is 6 feet and it is Version 2.0 compatible. |
